Basketball and Biology

Varun Ram is a star biology student at the University of Maryland. He’s also a member of the Terrapins basketball team that had alumni and students going a little crazy with joy this past season. It’s a combination Varun says you don’t often find  in Indian families like his, a great story that his college wanted to tell in its spring alumni magazine. And to make it even better, shortly before publication, Ram made a game-saving block in the NCAA tournament that sent the Terps to the next round.
