Veterans Day Profiles

The DC Military Veterans Day issue profiled an area veteran from each conflict since WWII. I wrote the stories about a Navy captain who had flown helicopters in Vietnam and a young woman Army sergeant who did a tour in Iraq. While they served at different times and had different experiences, during and after their combat tours, they shared the bond of having served with comrades-in-arms.
