Seeing Stars

The Naval Academy’s Class of ’78 has four 4-star admirals, a pretty unusual occurrence. The alumni magazine, Shipmate, wanted interviews with these four alumni, whose commands cover more than three-fourths of the globe. We decided on a Q&A format, giving all four the same questions. I arranged the interviews with their public affairs staff, sent questions ahead, and did the interviews by phone, sticking to the promised 30-minute time frame.
