Saving Maryland’s Bees

When the assigned writer got ill, Momentum‘s editor asked me on quick notice to research and write a story on some innovative things the UMD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources is doing to find out why so many bees are dying, and what beekeepers can do about it. I did a phone interview with the faculty expert as he was waiting at the airport for his flight, found a Maryland beekeeper with a good story, and got some good statistics to show just how important bees are. I made the deadline with a little time to spare.
