Web Page – UMd Scientists for Media

At the University of Maryland,  I did media relations for life sciences faculty.  To give reporters thumbnail looks at some of our leading genetic, environmental, and other life science research and people, I created the web page BioSci@University of Maryland.  It included quotes from featured faculty to show they were good at describing their research for non-science audiences. The main UMd communications page linked to the site, and I emailed the link and updates to my list of science reporters.  A side benefit for the featured researchers was that they could use the site to help satisfy NSF grant requirements to educate the public about their work.
